The method

Hot press, done properly

Heat-applied transfer bonds your design into the fabric under high heat and pressure. No screens, no minimum run, no setup charge that only makes sense at 200 pieces.

1
We cut your stencil

Your logo or lettering is cut from premium vinyl as a bespoke stencil, then weeded by hand so every counter and fine edge stays true.

2
We press it on

Pressed at temperature and pressure matched to the fabric, so the finish sits flat, stays flexible and does not crack at the fold.

3
You approve, we run it

We send a proof before any bulk run. On larger orders we can press a physical sample first and credit it against the order.

Custom stencils

Bespoke designs, cut to your artwork

Send a logo, a rough sketch or a photo of an old shirt. We redraw it, cut a stencil to match and press it exactly where you want it. Nothing is limited to a template.

Print cost is per placement and excludes the garment itself and VAT. Add a second placement (back or sleeve) at the same per-garment rate. Garments can be supplied by us from the catalogue at trade prices, or you can send your own.

Ordering garments from us too? The shirts follow the standard volume pricing on top of these print rates, so a bigger run cuts both numbers at once.

Questions

Hot press printing, answered

What is hot-press printing?

Hot press (heat-applied transfer) bonds a cut vinyl or transfer film onto the garment under high heat and pressure. It gives crisp edges and strong solid colour, so it is ideal for logos, names, numbers and lettering, and it works on runs of any size, including a single shirt.

What is a custom stencil design?

We cut your artwork into a bespoke stencil, weed out the waste and press it onto the garment. That means any shape, logo or lettering can be reproduced exactly, with no screen-printing setup. The one-off stencil cut is £25.00 per design and is included free from 25 garments up.

Can you print on garments I already have?

Yes. We accept customer-supplied garments and charge print only, at the same volume rates. We do check the fabric first, as waterproof, flame-retardant and some technical coatings cannot take a heat press.

What is the minimum order?

One garment. Hot press has no screen setup, so short runs and one-offs are viable, and the per-garment price simply drops as the quantity climbs.

How long does it take?

Typically 3 to 5 working days from artwork approval for stock garments. Tell us your deadline in the enquiry form and we will confirm, and rush turnaround can usually be arranged.

What artwork do you need?

Vector artwork is best (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF). A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background also works for most designs. If all you have is a rough sketch or a photo of an old shirt, send it anyway and we will redraw it.

Washing your printed garments

Wash inside out at 40 degrees or cooler, do not tumble dry the print, and never iron directly over it. Treated that way a hot-pressed design comfortably outlasts the shirt it is on.
